San Luis is located on the Southwest corner of Arizona, within Yuma County in the United States. San Luis is the border town to San Luis, Sonora, Mexico. Established in 1930, as a U.S. Port of entry into Mexico, San Luis is now a thriving and diverse part of the Yuma metropolitan area.

Copies are also available at the City Clerk's Office and at the San Luis Library. The Public Hearing before the City Council will be held on July 13 at 7pm in the Council Chambers. After the City Council approves the General Plan, it must be ratified by the voters of San Luis. That election will take place on November 8th.

Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget for fiscal year 2011-2012 was approved by the Mayor and City Council for the City of San Luis, Arizona, Yuma County, on June 29, 2011.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE CHANGE IN CITY EXCISE TAXES

Please take notice that the City of San Luis may consider changing the Tax Code of the City of San Luis to eliminate the exclusion of transactions with specified governmental agencies as provided by Section 7A-280 of the Tax Code of the City of San Luis. This change may occur on or after March 23, 2011.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE INCREASE IN FEES AND CHARGES

As part of the budget process for fiscal year 2011/2012 the City of San Luis may consider increasing the fees and charges for its services including fees charged for Parks and Recreation activities and charges for use of municipal facilities and grounds, fees charged by the Department of Development Services for applications for approvals under the zoning ordinance, as amended, or the subdivision regulations, as amended, business license tax fees, charges by the Utilities Department for utility fees for water, wastewater and solid waste, including connection fees and fees and other charges for utility related services other than utility rates, and charges and fees by the Department of Public Works including encroachment permit fees. Action by City Council on any such change in fees, taxes, or other charges may occur on or after June 1, 2011.
