"SAN LUIS GEARS UP FOR 2010 NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP"
San Luis, Arizona – City of San Luis is gearing up for its first Neighborhood Clean-Up in more than three years.
The eagerly awaited NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP arrived. The City of San Luis is proud to announce February 16th as the start-up date for this year’s Cleanup, which will run through April 2nd.
The San Luis Public Works Department is asking residents to assist by placing unwanted items at the curb for collection at the beginning of each household’s designated pick-up week. Eligible items include broken furniture, old appliances, unmounted tires, tree trimmings, and landscape clippings.
The City does not pick up construction material debris such as roofing, concrete or dirt. Also, the City will not collect abandoned vehicles or trailers, tree trunks, large branches, or household hazardous waste, such as motor oil, pesticides and other chemicals.
A brochure with listings and area maps are available. Residents can obtain one by visiting city’s website at www.cityofsanluis.org or may pick one up at the following locations:
• City Hall located at 1090 E. Union Street
• APS office located at 801 S. 2nd Street Suite B, San Luis, Arizona.
