"EARLY VOTING IN SAN LUIS"
San Luis, Arizona – In an effort to assist San Luis voters in casting their vote, the early voting period for the Primary Election starts Thursday, February 11 and continues through February 26.
San Luis Municipal Primary Election on March 9
“We want to make the voting process as convenient as possible for our residents,” said Sonia Cuello, San Luis City Clerk. “We want them to understand the importance of electing the leaders of government closest to the people and encourage voter participation.”
The final opportunity for registered San Luis voters to cast their vote in this election is Primary Election Day, March 9. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. San Luis will have one polling location for its citizens to vote on Election Day. Voting will take place at the Fernando Padilla Community Center located at 800 E. Juan Sanchez Boulevard.
Cuello also said, "There are ten candidates competing for three City Council Seats, two candidates and one write-in candidate for City Mayor.”
Cuello encourages all early ballots to be dropped off at the Yuma County Recorder’s Office before Election Day. She says, "Dropping off the Early Ballots will help expedite the tabulation and verification process which means that accurate election results may be known sooner."
Terms of Offices are for (4) Four years - term commencing June 9, 2010 ending May 31, 2014.
