PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Public Works Department consists of 4 divisions: Street Division, Solid Waste Division, Water Division, and Wastewater Division. Public Works Department provides maintenance service to the City of San Luis roads, water and sewer lines as well as providing safe portable water to residents and garbage service. The Streets Division, also, known as Highway Users, provides general maintenance and repair of all City streets and signs to facilitate the general public’s movement in a safe and orderly manner. Crews respond to after hour calls for service, removal of graffiti, install new and maintain existing roadway signs and markings. Contact: Carlos Gonzales, Public Works Field Supervisor
The Solid Waste Division provides to its residential and commercial community garbage collection services. Also, twice a year offers the citywide Clean-up Campaign and picks up miscellaneous trash and debris. Contact: Carlos Gonzalez, Public Works Supervisor
The Water and Wastewater Division crews maintain and respond to problems related to the City’s water distribution mains and wastewater collection lines, fire hydrants and more than 4,800 residential water service and wastewater connections.
